Job Description: roles and responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support the Ambassador activity including the embassy\u2019s engagement with media outlets and journalists.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinate media briefings, press team events and meetings.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proactively seeking communications opportunities and media contact.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manage communications lists, media lists, and media monitoring distribution lists and support on monitoring and planning forward-looking activity.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Monitor media and news trends, sharing news coverage within the embassy on key issues of interest to the Palestine-Albania relationship, with occasional written media coverage summaries as requested.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Officer will work closely with the diplomatic and administrative staff of the Embassy on all aspects of the Embassy\u2019s political and cultural outreach work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintaining an overview of current political and economic developments in Albania through media monitoring, government and civil society \/ think tank reports, and networking with key individuals from the Albanian authorities, the academic sector and civil society.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Providing accurate and timely translations of key documents and media news reports.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that the advice and information on the Embassy\u2019s social media platforms are up-to-date and useful, including the Embassy\u2019s social media platforms.<\/p>\n
Essential qualifications, skills and experience<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong English oral and written communication skills.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proven ability to complete multiple tasks and work on deadline in a fast-paced work environment.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated ability to take control and follow through on assigned tasks.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Basic knowledge of English in reading and in writing.<\/p>\n
