Job description – Accountant/translator – The Embassy of Palestine in Tirana

Duties:

• Prepare financial documentation for approval and processing

• Assist in the preparation of contract payments (leases, services)

• Prepare documentation for utilities for approval and processing

• Preparation of accounts receivables.

• Bank public monies in official bank account

• Prepare cheques and act as counter-signing officer

• Weekly uploads revenue spreadsheet into EmbassyAccounting system

• Hold petty cash advance, disburse payments and conductacquittals.

• Other duties as directed

Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

1.      Proven work experience as accountant in governmental or public institutions.

2.     Fluent mastering of the Arabic language, excellent  spoken and written proficiency in both English and Albanian ( proved by certificate or other documentation),

3.     Proven work experience as a accountant in one or more public office, NGO’s or embassy

4.     Bachelor degree in accounting with excellent accountingand administration knowledge..

5.      A strong organizational ability, including themanagement of competing responsibilities, and theability to meet deadlines under pressure

6.     A high level of flexibility and responsibility, and theability to work effectively as a team member
